This is my sixth year of teaching! I am very happy to be a part of CPS and I always have a fun and productive year with all of my students. I grew up in Chicago and it is also where I received all of my education. I graduated with my B.A. from the University of Illinois at Chicago and received my Masters from Chicago State University. I am happily married to my husband David "Mr.B" who is an amazing best friend and husband. We have a dog named Frida, named after one of my favorite painters. I have also received Certification as an Apple
I have always enjoyed nature and exploring our amazing natural resources. I love to travel and learn about new things and places.

Some of the things I think are very important in the classroom and in my philosophy of teaching are:
- It is important for me to be an active participant in my school and keep parents involved in their child's education.
- It is important for me to keep my students involved and motivated to learn by using different strategies and skills.
- I am highly committed to students and their learning. I believe all students have the ability to learn. It is important that I understand all my students needs and treat every student with respect and dignity and that they are taught to treat others the same way.
